Tokyo –Human Rights Activist, Civil Society Leader and Independent Left politician, Former Health and Labour Minister Hon. Dr. Padma Ratna Tuladhar, fondly known among Nepalese as “Padma dai” is to be felicitated on Saturday the 17th January in Okubo, Tokyo by the Nepalese community here for his dedicated services rendered to the benefit of people of Nepal for the past twenty years.

Known also as the champion of indigenous people and civil society is in Japan at the invitation of the newly formed Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) Japan and Newah Jagaran Manch (NJM) Japan. Dr. Tuladhar inaugurated the 1st Convention of the NEFIN on the 11th at Ikegami, Tokyo, attended an Interaction and reception program jointly organized by NRN Japan and NEFIN Japan on the 12th. He is also scheduled to visit Nagoya to inspect Buddhist library from 14th to 15th and is set to give a lecture on “Political Process of Conflict Management and Federal Structuring in Nepal” at the 60th Study Session of the “Development and Cultural Change” Forum, Hiroshima University on 16th afternoon before he joins the aforementioned felicitation reception being held in his honour.
